Canon PowerShot TX1 Digital Camera Reviewed

Canon PowerShot TX1

Canon’s first try in the hybrid market is pretty much admirable with this PowerShot TX1. It is designed nicely but the size is a bit too small making the controls kind of complicated. The flip out screen, impressive optical image stabilization and SDHC support does make this a great device. It has HD capabilities and the device is manageable. Ergonomically, this camera is still lacking as well as its flash, movie recording times and battery life. This camera is big when it comes to style and features. Still this does not make a good camera. Overall it is still a very commendable effort since it is their first try. Consumers will be looking more to their second generation of this product where they will expect something more and all the problems will be resolved. They might come out with a device with hard disk built in to enable more storage of its video.

Fujifilm Z5fd digital camera

Fujifilm Z5fd

The FujiFilm Z5fd camera is pretty much a compact stylish little camera. It comes in 3 different colours, mocha brown, raspberry red and standard silver. The startup is pretty fast. What you have to do is just slide open the cover and voila, you are ready to shoot your first picture in a couple of seconds. It has a standard 3 x optical zoom. This is a 6.3 megapixel camera. Each picture will be about 1.5 mb at medium quality settings. The position of the lens however is questionable. It is located at the very left of the camera. This makes it not very handy when you are holding it with both hands as stray fingers might just get caught in the picture. The infrared port has some communication error with Sony Ericsson phones. It has a built in paltry 26 mb memory and you can opt to upgrade it with a larger xD card.

Nikon CoolPix S500 Camera

Nikon CoolPix S500

Nikon CoolPix S500 is one of the most trendy camera available. It is about the size of a credit card and as thin as a matchbox. Impressed yet? The body is made of stainless steel and plastic buttons and compartment cover. It has a typical 3 x optical zoom and 2.5 inch screen. It has a 7 megapixel CMOS sensor to compliment its design. The features are more or less standard among the camera in its category. In order to use its auto focus function, depress the button halfway and wait for it to focus. There is no wheel at the top as it uses dedicated buttons at the rear to access its menu. This is pretty much a standard point and shoot camera and its has a 26 MB internal memory.
